Precious Joy: Gen. 1.7

A Frightening Experience!

David Arellano strolled by outside.

I carved my first wooden sculpture. It sold for §194.

I went upstairs to paint for a while. I’m a little curious how well this one will turn out. Only time will tell.

Cortney noticed something out the window and went to investigate.

It was a stray dog, rolling around in a puddle in the yard!

I was feeling a bit bloated today. It depressed me a bit.

I expressed my concerns to Cortney during dinner.

Precious Joy: I’m feeling a bit depressed. I feel so fat.

Cortney: Precious Joy, you are carrying my child. You are more beautiful to me than ever.
Precious Joy: Awwww! You always know just the right thing to say.

After dinner, Cortney did the dishes and then came to flirt with me.

He offered me a massage. It was heavenly. My back had been aching constantly, but it felt much better now.

Precious Joy: Cortney! It’s snowing outside!
Cortney: It looks beautiful. I’m going to go out and hang some holiday lights.
Precious Joy: Be careful.
Cortney: I will.
A little while later Cortney helped me into my coat and we went outside to see his handiwork.
Precious Joy: The lights look awesome!
Cortney: The mountains make a great backdrop for our home. It turned out so good.

We went inside and cuddled on the couch for a while. I feel so cherished in his arms.

He kissed me soundly.
Cortney: I love you, Precious Joy.
Precious Joy: I love you too, Cortney.

Cortney went into the kitchen to feed Goldie some fish food.

I suddenly felt compelled to go outside. I saw some colorful lights in the sky.

The next thing I knew, I was floating upward toward a flying object that had replaced the strange lights.

I was traumatized by what happened to me, terrified that it had harmed the baby!

I came back inside and told Cortney what had happened to me. He listened without judgement, and believed me.

He stood me up and listened to my tummy.
Cortney: The baby sounds fine. I’m sure everything will be all right.
His response calmed my fears. I can’t wait for this baby to be born.
