Meet Goldie
After selling my latest work for a modest sum, I used the rest room and started making pancakes for breakfast. Apparently, the contractor forgot to install a sink in the kitchen.

We sat down to eat together.
Courtney: These grape pancakes are awesome!
Precious Joy: Thank you. I’m surprised they turned out so well.

Cortney: I finished writing Blatant Lies this morning. The publisher predicts it will be a best-seller! I’ll be getting §69 in royalties for the next six weeks.
Precious Joy: Congratulations! I sold my last sculpture for §22. I’m hoping to get better with practice.
Cortney: You’ll get there.

After washing the dishes in the bathroom sink, I put away the leftovers and started talking to myself. Cortney was a dear, and went to watch TV without mentioning my outburst.

I went downstairs and worked on another sculpture. This one didn’t take as long as the previous one to complete and sold for §30.

The next morning, I worked in the garden, then carved another clay statue. This time it was a baby elephant that sold for §33.

Cortney and I spent the next few days working on our crafts. He is writing a trashy novel entitled Silly Suede Suggestions, and I just finished my fifth clay sculpture. I carved another tiki statue and it sold for §453!

The contractor installed our kitchen sink so I put it to good use.

I found a stray cat outside and I couldn’t resist feeding him and brushing him. I invited him inside but he ran off.

I decided today that the easel has been gathering dust long enough. I wanted to take painting classes at the school to learn the basics but we didn’t have enough Simoleons after paying the bills. It wasn’t long before Cortney interrupted me. He wanted a kiss and a bit more attention.

We chatter for a while and snuggled on the bed. Why did I change into my outerwear?

Cortney wanted to go to the theater to play guitar with some friends.

When he returned home, Cortney finished Silly Suede Suggestions and will receive royalty payments of §142. He also had to call a repair technician because the typewriter carriage return was stuck.

The next morning, I finished gardening and made breakfast. I burned the pancakes horribly. I was so hungry I ate a plate of them anyway. I got rid of the rest before Cortney noticed. Just as I finished washing the dishes, Cortney came in and cleaned the sink. I headed for the shower.

I got the mail, and Cortney had received a complimentary copy of his second book, What’s Love Anyway. I decided it was time to invest in a bookcase. I located it under the television and proudly displayed his first two novels.

Cortney had caught a perfect goldfish and named her Goldie.
