Servis Ultimate Legacy Challenge: Chapter Seven

I mastered gardening.

I can’t believe the beautiful view we have of the ocean. It is breathtaking.

Lisa: We really need to change the walls. This looks so tacky.
Brody: I agree. Did you have a color in mind?
Lisa: I’m partial to purple, perhaps a lighter shade for the living room, and a butter yellow for the kitchen.
Brody: Let’s check out wallpapers today.
Lisa: Okay, we can go this afternoon.

Lisa and I went to SimInterior to choose wallpapers and arrange for the remodel. Then we went to SimFurniture and purchased a crib. No, we are not pregnant, but we hope to have children one day. Hopefully, by the time our first son or daughter is a child, we will have enough Simoleons to expand the house and add more bedrooms.

I sat down to write with the tacky walls for the last time.

The workers are already finished and I took pictures of everything.

After having workers in our home for days, we finally had some alone time.

Alone time

Lisa got a call from her dad. Her mother, Judy Bunch, has passed away. I wish there were something I could do. Unfortunately, all I can do is comfort her and let her grieve in her own way.

Judy died

Vita Alto invited Lisa and I to a party tonight. Unfortunately, Lisa wasn’t up to going anywhere. Vita called to let us know that she missed us at the party. I explained that Lisa’s mom had passed on. Vita was sympathetic and offered her condolences.

My first romance novel, Highland Passion, is a best-seller! The publisher will be paying me §2,030 a week in royalties for this masterpiece. My total royalty check this Sunday will be for §2,839. I am now a Paperback Pauper, having reached level four in the writing career.

The next day, Lisa’s brother, Arlo Bunch, called and told her that their dad, Jack Bunch, had died of a broken heart.

When Judy Bunch died, Lisa received an inheritance of just over §26,000. We are building a new four-bedroom, one bath home with an all-in-one shower upstairs. We managed to get the structure built, and the downstairs nearly finished before we ran out of Simoleons. It still needed windows, and the upstairs bedrooms were lacking wallpaper, carpet, and furnishings, so we took out a loan for §15,000.

The first thing I did was buy a new writing desk and chair. I replaced my typewriter with a high-end laptop.

Here are pictures of the exterior of the house.

The view from the street includes an ocean view with the lighthouse in the background:

The front view shows a bit of the garden on one side, and a glimpse of the ocean on the other:

  1. Cute update. 😊 Tacky walls! Lol! I love the word Tacky. 😁 I use it as often as I can where applicable. And in that case, it was *very* applicable! 😆 I’d give anything for an ocean view like that in my backyard too. 😍

    1. Ya, when the paint is peeling, the walls are tacky! And the view from 15 Summerhill Court is phenomenal.

      1. Amen! I mean, I get how shabby chic can look good on some things, but definitely not the walls! 😬👎🏻
