Wedded Bliss and a New Home!
Cortney and I didn’t have any family to invite to our wedding, but we wanted it to be memorable. We set up a wedding arch in the yard and added a fancy table with a cake. We were married at twilight with the snow-covered mountains as a backdrop. We paid a photographer to take several photos at the wedding.

We cut the cake and sat in the camp chairs to eat it.

Then it was time for our wedding portrait to be taken. I didn’t like sitting still for so long.
Precious Joy: Just take the picture already… are we done? Good!

We hired contractors to build us a modest home. It had a stucco and brick exterior with a white door, marble walkway, brown trim and a brown roof.

The interior was spacious. Funds were limited, and we weren’t able to afford the bookcase we wanted right away. The first priority was a typewriter for Cortney so he could continue his work on Blatant Lies. We purchased high-quality appliances, a decent shower, and a high-end double bed. We got a modest loveseat and TV. I added an artist’s easel, as I had a desire to learn the painting skill.

We included a full basement for sculpting and future expansion.

Cortney started on his book right away, and I carved another clay sculpture.

When I finished, I went to City Hall to register as a self-employed Sculptor.
