Learning to Talk
Jackie Lestat played Cortney’s guitar before he did. How rude!

The guests appear to have had a good time.

Jackie Lestat took great joy in destroying the snowman. She needed a personal invitation to go home.

We had a visit from s-GNOME-man Bittertotter! We named her Judith.

After breakfast the next day, we spent some time teaching our toddlers to talk.
Ava’s first word was tree.

Ayce’s first words were disco ball! I was excited about his progress.

After using the potty and getting bathed, the twins were ready for round two of learning how to talk. Ava was the first to talk on her own. Ayce was taking his time learning to pronounce the words correctly. Cortney started teaching Ava how to count on her fingers by reading her Counting for Those Who Cannot.

By the time Cortney finished the children’s book, Ayce had learned to talk. He gave me the book to read to Ayce.
Teri visited and built a snowman in the family cemetery.

Cortney and I had a midnight snack. I hope the grease from these deep fried turkey legs don’t keep us up.

Cortney ran outside after his snack. I looked out the window and saw this!
Curiosity:

Surprise:

Fear:

I don’t know where he went, but something pulled him into the sky and he disappeared! Did he just get abducted like I did?
Cortney and I were playing with the twins and their toys.

My mother, Teri Forsythe cheered Ayce on while he was playing.

I spent some time reading Counting for those Who Cannot to Ayce. He helped by turning the pages and seemed to really enjoy the picturebook.

Cortney wanted to play his guitar for us. His skill is very high and I enjoy it when he plays. Ayce turned to the last page. When I finished reading, I put the book away on the bookshelf.

Meanwhile, Ava mastered the pegbox toy. She is able to put all of the blocks in the correct holes without hesitation. I’m proud of her.
