Servis Ultimate Legacy Challenge: Chapter Thirteen
I am hard at work writing, What a Woman, my latest romance. Briella is content in her crib, and Lisa is outside working in the garden.
Briella needed a bottle and some love and attention, so I took a break from my writing to spend time with her.
When I started to change her diaper, I realized that Briella needed a bath.
Michael and River Bachelor still spend time with one another, holding hands in public.
~texansky~ I had the stereo set to Custom Music because my husband has recorded an album that I like listening to when I play my game. When Adam and Lisa went to bed, the stereo was set to Beach Party music, which happens to be Briella’s favorite music. I know that Adam and Lisa never changed the station. One of the gnomes, s-GNOME-man Bittertotter, had poofed on the other side of the wall from the stereo. Could he have changed the station? I changed it back to Custom and it’s on Beach Party again!
Bella Bachelor has been gossiping about Lisa, saying she has a terrible guilty secret.
Lisa is the best mother. She takes such good care of Briella.
I finished writing What a Woman and my publisher is pleased. She said that romance is definitely my specialty. I will receive §1,629 in royalties for my latest work. This tops out my weekly royalties at just over §10,000.
I’ve already reached my goal of becoming a professional author and mastered writing. Sunday, I will have earned over §30,000 in royalties from the nine books I have published. I hope to write at least twenty books in my lifetime, but I want to slow down and enjoy time with my new family.
With Briella taken care of, Lisa and I decided to take a nap together. Being parents of a newborn is exhausting.
Lisa: Did you enjoy your nap?
Adam: It helped, but it didn’t last. Shall we go to bed?
Lisa: Yes. I could use a good nights sleep.
Adam: Good morning! How would you like to go to the park after we finish the gardening? I’d like to get a snow cone.
Lisa: That sounds like fun. It’s a good thing we bought a stroller for Briella.
Adam: I’ll grab the stroller and you get Briella ready.
I drove the jalopy to town, anticipating the cool taste of a snow cone.
When we arrived, we discovered that the summer festival had packed up and moved south.
Adam: I guess I’m not going to get a snow cone today.
Lisa: I can’t believe summer is over already! Where did the time go?
Adam: I don’t know.
Lisa: It is a little cooler today than it has been.
Adam: The complimentary copy of my latest romance, What a Woman, arrived in the mail today. Did I tell you that I dedicated it to you?
Lisa: You didn’t. That was so sweet of you. What do you want to do now?
Adam: You look beautiful.
Lisa: Thank you. You’re pretty hot yourself.
Lisa handed Briella to me and went to talk with the Frio family. Jared was there with his son Emilio and Emilio’s wife, Tracie Langerak. Emilio’s mother is Jamie Jolina.
We decided to head for home. Briella had been out in the sun long enough. I went upstairs to clean the shower.
Lisa: I’m sorry you didn’t get your snow cone.
Adam: There’s always next time.
Lisa: Let’s go spend some alone time in the bedroom.
Adam: Right behind you, sweetheart.
Lisa took care of Briella’s needs. It seems they never end.
I sat down on the couch to read Ballard’s Ballads. It’s nice to take a break from writing once in a while.
