Servis Ultimate Legacy Challenge: Chapter Four
Week 4 (continued):
I tended my garden and planted fresh red berry beans in the planters. The previous ones had gone dormant and needed to be replaced.
Inspired by my relationship with Lisa, I sat down to work on my first romance, Highland Passion.
As I wrote, my mind kept drifting to Lisa. I had begun to think of a future with her. I stopped writing to use the bathroom, shower, and head to bed.
The next morning, I was starving, so I had pancakes. I had wanted waffles, but I needed to buy eggs. I set to work tending the garden. It recovered from the winter and is growing nicely. The view of the ocean is spectacular from my property.
I had one bean left, so I planted it outside.
The second planting of red berry beans in the house has sprouted.
I found a letter in the mailbox from Lisa.
I loved what you wrote me in your last letter. I was hoping you would say it to me in person.

Love, Lisa
I sat down and replied right away.
I would be happy to tell you that I love you in person. I tried calling to invite you over, but you weren’t at home. I’ll try again when you get off of work.

Love, Adam
That evening, I invited Lisa to spend the night. She came right away. I kissed her and we flirted for a bit.
I asked her to watch the stars. We sat down under a starry sky.
We shared our secrets and dreams.
The stars were bright tonight. It was a much better view than the last time when it was too cloudy to see anything.
We went out for dinner at the bistro. When we arrived home, I got down on one knee.
Lisa: What are you doing down there?
Adam: Lisa, from the moment I met you, I knew that we were destined to be together. I’ve loved you more each day.
Lisa: I love you, too, Adam.
Adam: Lisa, would you marry me?
Lisa: I would be delighted to marry you, Adam. The sooner the better!
Adam: We could have the wedding here, with the ocean view as a backdrop.
Lisa: I can’t wait to invite my whole family! Is there anyone you would like to invite?
Adam: I don’t have any family, but Nick and Vita Alto were the first to welcome me to the neighborhood. I should invite them.
We made out and then headed for bed.
The next morning, I got up early, letting Lisa sleep in. Lisa had to leave for work while I was still tending the garden, so I didn’t get to kiss her goodbye. I found a bowl of batter on the counter. Lisa must have been making waffles when she had to leave. After breakfast, I unclogged the toilet and then took a shower. I was grimy from working in the garden.
I borrowed §5,000 to pay for the wedding. Lisa deserved the best. I was satisfied with the results. We would be married on Saturday. I prayed for good weather.
I worked on Highland Passion into the evening, when I was interrupted by a phone call from Morgana Landgraab asking me out on a date. I advised her that I was getting married to Lisa Bunch and hung up on her.
I sat on the couch to read the third volume of the gardening series until bedtime.
Friday morning, Ethan called me and told me he had arranged a bachelor party for me at Mick’s Master Karaoke. He said to be there at 6 pm and dress to impress. Since he went to all the trouble, the least I could do was show up.
Fiona McIrish gifted us a magic jelly bean bush as an early wedding present. I placed it outside the door. Since I didn’t know the effects of eating magic jelly beans, I stored it in the attic for now. I may just sell it.
I purchased a fruit and vegetable storage bin and a box to keep the best seeds from my garden. I have placed some produce in the bin for the restaurant. They want twenty excellent quality harvestable items from my garden.
With four hours to go before I had to leave for my party, I sat down to read more on gardening. At 2:30 pm I went to the grocery store to sell the remaining harvestable fruits and vegetables.
