A New Arrival
I put a rocking chair in the nectar cellar so I could wait in comfort until the nectar maker finished.
I needed an afternoon nap, so I headed upstairs.
When I woke up, it was raining and Shaun was home tending the bees.
I love the fresh scent the rain brings, and the smell of freshly washed clothing.
I went into labor and we headed to the car to go to the hospital.
Shaun decided to celebrate his birthday instead, leaving me to drive myself.
Shaun made it to the hospital just in time. We had a son and named him Lucas.
When we arrived home, I fed Lucas a bottle, snuggled with him, and tucked him into bed.
Elijah caught a rainbow beetle in the brambles! Shaun will donate it to the science facility after work tomorrow.
Elijah’s been busy. This one is a Cerambyx beetle.
Shaun was abducted by Oxqa Pollination Technician. Let’s hope he didn’t do any pollination up there.
Fields of Gold looks so pretty in the winter.
Elijah celebrated his birthday. He is now an elder.
