The Garden

First thing in the morning, I gathered my first batch of honey, cleaned the boxes, and fed the bees.

I planted my garden the next day. Included are 3 apple trees, 10 grapevines, 2 red berry bean plants, porcini and white cap mushrooms, 3 strawberry plants, a cocoa plant, 10 lettuce plants, red valerian, wolfsbane, and 5 tomato plants. When I gain some experience, I will plant lime trees and onions. I bought two sprinklers so I don’t have to water all the plants by hand.

I had a stove delivered. It’s not much, but it works. After reading a cookbook, I made waffles. They were not cooked evenly. I may have to level the stove. I dragged the third cupboard across the kitchen and installed it next to the sink.

Elijah has been hunting. He caught a womrat and scrounged up two empty chip bags.

I decided to see if the washing machine on the porch worked. I put in a load of my clothing and hoped for the best.

That evening, I called Nicola Gil, the team mascot, to catch up on the latest news.

I made waffles for breakfast.

I cleared out the rest of the bee-keeping area. I intend to put a chicken coop in there as soon as I can afford one.

I rode my rusty bicycle to the Summer Festival. I met several new Sims, then went to the Wright Reading Room to study a book on handiness.

Elijah jumped off the kitchen counter and fell on his behind! I felt bad for him, but it was hilarious!

Elliot Bradshaw caught himself on fire at the inventor’s workstation.

Firefighter Laurel Wood showed up in plain clothes to rescue him.

She received a commendation and a promotion for her heroic act.

My garden is coming along nicely. It won’t be long before the grapes will be ready to harvest.

I sold my honey harvest and was able to purchase a chicken coop. There was a bad egg in my first batch. I suspect this will happen less frequently as the hens settle in.

Summer is passing quickly, and my chores have become routine now. Muscles I didn’t know I had complained at first, but the soreness has lessened since.

I don’t know why I waste my time trying to clean this bathroom. I need to gut it and replace everything.

I’ve been getting a little lonely. I need to make the time to meet more people. Maybe I’ll use an online dating service. I had ordered a computer, desk, and chair. It was delivered today.

I created a profile on an online dating site. I decided to be completely honest about myself. We’ll see if I get any responses.

I cleaned up the kitchen. It takes a lot of scrubbing to get these surfaces clean.

I bought a jalopy to take my crops to Aleister’s for consignment. I wasn’t able to tote them on my rusty bicycle. I want to get some cows, but I don’t know whether I will get enough Simoleons from my crops yet.
