Marsden Farm – 21

Baby?

Week 6: Monday

Christian:
Loni and I got up at dawn to start our day. I tended the bees while Loni took care of the chickens and milked the cows.

Then I fertilized, watered, and harvested the crops outside.

Loni went downstairs to tend the sub-basement garden.

Angel presented me with a nuthatch which sold for over §200. I played with Charlotte for a while.

After dinner, I cleaned the bathroom and put some clothes in the washer. Then I went to bed.

Loni:
Once I was done with the garden, I hung the clothes on the clothesline. I decided to make some apple nectar and found there was some still in the nectar maker. I stored that on the nectar rack and started another batch. I fell into bed around midnight, exhausted.

Week 6: Tuesday

When I woke up, Christian had made pancakes for breakfast. He remembered that they are my favorite.

Loni: I found a rare exotic egg in one of the nests. I can get §1,500 for it at the consignment shop. I think it’s time to pay off the remaining balance on our loan.

Christian: That’s a good idea. We only owe §2,550. We can go to town after chores.

Loni: That works. I’d like to pick up a few things at the grocery store.

Christian: What do you think about getting married and starting a family right away?

Christian-babies

Loni: I would be okay with a ceremony sometime this week. Neither of us have any family, so it doesn’t make sense to wait. As far as kids, I think we should talk about that tonight.

Christian and I went to town. We paid the remaining balance on our loan. Christian consigned his produce at Aleister’s and I sold some insects to science. We stopped by Varg’s Tavern for drinks before going home.

When I got home, I read a chapter of the logic book. Christian learned how to make chili con carne.

Final balance: §8,702

Difference: §2550 less

Loan amount: PAID IN FULL

Week 6: Wednesday and Thursday

Wednesday and Thursday were uneventful. Christian and I did their chores and nothing special happened except for Christian being paid for his consigned items.

Charlotte had a birthday on Thursday. She is an elder.

Week 6: Friday

Loni:

Early Friday morning, my father Fred came to visit. I had moved his rocking chair to the other corner of the porch. It wasn’t getting the morning sun, so I moved it across from where it had been originally.

Christian started flirting with me before we did our chores.

I even got a massage.

Suddenly I had to vomit when I started toward the chicken coop. I ran upstairs to the bathroom and made it just in time. I hadn’t even had breakfast yet. I hope I’m not coming down with something.

Loni throwing up

After milking the cow and making cheese, I headed down to start a batch of sparkling nectar. Before I could add the fruit, I ran upstairs to the bathroom again. This is the second time this morning. I called and made an appointment at the doctor’s office. They had a cancellation for this afternoon. I told them I would be there.

Loni: Christian, I am not feeling well. I threw up twice this morning. The doctor had a cancellation for this afternoon. Could you do the gardening in the sub-basement today?

Christian: Sure. You do look a bit pale. I hope it’s nothing serious.

Loni: I hope not.

Doctor appt

Christian: I love you, sweetheart.

Loni: I love you, too. I’d better get going.

Love each other

I arrived at the nondescript clinic wondering what I had. I would know soon enough.

The doctor told me I was pregnant. He suggested a vaccine and some pills to reduce the nausea.

We sold a lot of produce since Tuesday. After my doctor appointment I deposited the funds in the bank.

I went home to tell Christian the news.

Loni: Remember the other night when we…? It seems that we conceived a child. I’m pregnant.

Loni starts conversation

Christian: Really? That’s awesome news.

Christian thrilled

Christian: I’m going to be a father! Hey there little one.

Loni pregnant

I tried again to make some nectar. This time I was able to squish the fruit before I had to make a mad dash to the bathroom to throw up again.

I headed down to the sub-basement to start the nectar machine, but Christian met me in the basement and asked if he could feel my tummy. How could I refuse the love of my life?

Christian: Are you a boy or a girl? I hope you’re a girl as beautiful as your mommy.

Loni: I guess we will have to wait to find out.

Christian made Organic Ratatouille for dinner. It was delicious.

That evening, Christian asked me to watch the stars with him. It was a clear summer night.

~texansky~ It seems that Sims can get the Parent’s Blessing moodlet from asking the ghost of their parent for their blessing. I didn’t think to get a screenshot.

  1. Awwww, bless Lani’s heart. 😘 Pregnancy can be rough! (Especially the morning sickness, that’s the worst of it. 😞) But it’s exciting! Congrats to them! 🎉

    1. Thanks Em!

Caring for the farm will be more challenging, with a little one demanding so much of their time. I think they will handle it just fine. IIRC, they are both family-oriented.
