Marsden Farm – 19

Spoiling the Pets

Week 5: Saturday

When I came downstairs in the morning, Christian approached me.

Marsden-19-1

Christian: Have you ever wondered about the ghosts that have been appearing at night?
Loni: Everytime I see one of them, I forget what I am doing and just want to run away!
Christian: I did a bit of investigating in the basement last night. Remember the plaque we found behind the nectar making machine?
Loni: I remember. It was blank.
Christian: I wondered why it was blank, and looked around down there looking for clues. I found a hidden door in the electrical room. It led me down to an underground chamber with a plaque on the wall.
Loni: What did that plaque say?
Christian: “No one will ever know about my secret!” And the chamber floor was covered in bones. The skulls of all of them were bashed in. I think they are the remains of the ghosts that have been haunting this place.
Loni: Oh, my!
Christian: I’m going to call the police and report the chamber full of skeletons.
Loni: Have them bring the coroner as well to take care of the remains.

Christian:
After speaking to an officer, I hung up the phone, and set about tending the bees. Loni was already on the tractor harvesting the crops. When I finished, the police had arrived with the coroner. I showed them the way to the chamber. Loni and I had errands to run, so we left them to do their jobs.

Christian:
I offered to take the produce to town today. Loni gave me her harvest, and I emptied the cold storage bin before leaving. I had an ulterior motive. After my visit to Aleister’s, I stop by Simfany’s and picked out the perfect ring for Loni.

Loni:
I visited the mausoleum and arranged for Dad’s remains to be relocated.

Loni:
Christian and I arrived home at the same time. The police and coroner had been in and out of the basement most of the day, finally leaving in early evening.

Coroner: I’ve gathered the last of the remains. We’ll leave you for now. Don’t enter the chamber until the police are done down there.
Christian: We won’t. Goodbye.
Loni: We’ve had a very eventful day. And I still have to milk the cows.

The police had told us there was an unsolved missing persons case on the family. He said he will reopen it as a murder investigation to look into their deaths. He told us that the coroner would do autopsies on them all, and assured us that she would bury the family together at the mausoleum.

Loni:
We already sold quite a bit of the produce at Aleister’s. We were surprised at the amount they paid us.

Christian had purchased an autofeeder for Charlotte and Angel so we wouldn’t have to worry about them going hungry. He filled it, turned it on, and added an auto-sensor. Charlotte was the first to try it.

Marsden-19-2

He also purchased a top-of-the-line dog house for Charlotte.

Marsden-19-3

We had a quiet evening and went to bed early.

Christian:
I couldn’t sleep. I wished that Fred Marsden was still alive so I could ask him for Loni’s hand in marriage. The family cemetery was now located in the back corner of the property. I got dressed and went up to Fred’s grave. I started talking to him about his daughter.

Marsden-19-4

Suddenly, he appeared before me. I introduced myself and he shook my hand.

Marsden-19-5

I told Fred how much I loved his daughter, Loni. I asked him how he felt about me becoming his son-in-law.

Marsden-19-6

He said he had been watching us together, and he could see that I made Loni happy.

Marsden-19-7
Marsden-19-8

He gave me his blessing.

Marsden-19-9

I thanked him and promised to take care of her.

Marsden-19-10

We said goodbye and I joined Loni in her bed. I rolled over and snuggled against her back, inhaling the fresh scent of her hair.

Marsden-19-11

My last thought before drifting off was having a large family with Loni. I want at least five children.

Marsden-19-12

~texansky~ The first thing that both Loni and Christian dreamed about were children’s blocks. I don’t think it will take long for them to have a family. Both of them have the family-oriented trait. I’m in for a busy second generation as Christian’s Lifetime Wish is to be Surrounded by Family.
