A Little Bit of Romance
Week 4: Thursday (continued)
Christian: I received my first promotion in my farming career.
Loni: I was promoted as well.
Christian:
I congratulated Loni with flowers, then decided to flirt with her. She flirted back.
Then I hugged her and asked her to watch the stars with me.
Loni: I don’t know if I told you I took out a loan to buy the tractor.
Christian: No, you didn’t mention it. How much did you borrow?
Loni: §10,000. An interest payment of §50 is due tomorrow. I’d like to pay off some of the §10,000 as well. We’ve got over §13,000 right now. Do you think we should pay it off, or just pay half until we get money from our produce?
Christian: Thank you for allowing me to share in this decision.
Loni: Since you quit your job to join me in this venture and you had §5000 to add to the piggybank, that makes us equal partners.
Christian: Well, I think we should just pay half for now. We don’t know how the season will go this year. If all goes well, we should be able to pay the rest after the fall harvest.
Loni: All right. We’ll mail off a payment in the morning.
By this time it was after midnight, so we headed up to bed.
Piggybank balance: §13,381.
Week 4: Friday
~texansky~ Happenings at home and around town…
Loni:
When I woke up, I found a chipmunk at the foot of my bed. It sold for §125.
It stopped raining during the night and the clothes were dry by morning. I brought them in and put them away.
Angel caught a cardinal worth §110.
I improved the speakers on Cruz Martingale-Riffin’s stereo, then filled the pet dish (§8).
Christian:
Quite a few of our plants had become barren, so I added them to the compost heap and planted new ones.
I tended the basement garden.
I bought a clothes hamper for the basement for §40.
Loni:
I mailed off a payment of §5050 to the bank.
I met Cruz Martingale-Riffin and returned his stereo. He paid me §600 for the work.
While I was out, I swung by the Science Lab and donated my insect collection. I received §1121 for the lot.
I stopped by Aleister’s on the way home, and they paid me §728 for items that had sold.
I had some leftover spaghetti for lunch, then headed out to feed the chickens (§5) and tend the bees. The eggs had hatched, so I played with the chicks.
Christian: I finally finished the basement garden. We have to figure out a way to irrigate the plants down there since the sprinklers don’t work. It takes me forever just to water all of the plants by myself.
Loni: Let me check and see what can be done about that.
Christian: Sounds good. Thank you.
Loni:
I called HomeSims and they have a Swiftgro Gardening Station for §500. I ordered it, but it wouldn’t fit in the basement as it needed a higher ceiling. So I hired a contractor for §5000 to excavate a sub-basement.
The contractor finished the sub-basement and installed the Swiftgro Gardening Station down there. He and Christian managed to get the nectar making machine down there as well. I also added another vegetable storage bin to hold the grapes for nectar making. It cost §190. We’ve moved all the indoor plants to the sub-basement. I hope they survive the transplantation.
We don’t have any use for the basement at this time, so we will leave it the way it is for now.
Balance at the end of the day: §5272.
Loan amount: §5,000 with §50 interest payable every Friday until the loan is paid off.
