Chapter 62 of the Nothing is Free Challenge
David and Dawn McKnight returned to China. Dawn turned in her relic and she now has a level one visa.
David met Lu Zhi at the Shang Simla Market and they hit it off.
They watched the stars together.
David took a chance and kissed Lu, surprising her.
Lu apparently enjoyed the kiss, because she came back for more.
Not wasting a moment, David asks Lu to go steady. Overjoyed, she agrees.
David had an opportunity to spar with local Xi Yuan. They were both level three in Martial Arts. Xi Yuan defeated David, winning two of three in the first sparring match.
David defeated Xi Yuan, winning two to zero, in the second sparring match. He earned a new belt in the process.
After the match, David had something important to do. He found Lu Zhi at the market and got down on one knee.
He pulled a jewelry box out of his back pocket. I love the look of joy on his face!
David: Lu, I know we’ve just met, but I’ve searched the world looking for my soulmate. When I met you, I knew that you were the one for me. Do me the honor of sharing your life with me as my wife.
Lu: Oh, David! I can’t think of anything I would like to do more than to join my life to yours. I would be thrilled to be your wife.
Lu accepted the ring. Look at that sparkle!
Lu: David, I love you so much.
David: I love you, too, Lu.
Lu embraces David happily. David is over the moon!
As soon as he returned to home base, he went in search of his sister, Dawn.
David: Dawn, I met someone. Her name is Lu Zhi, and I’m madly in love with her.
Dawn: Really?
David: Yes. In fact, I asked her to marry me, and she said yes!
Dawn: Congratulations! I can’t wait to meet her.
The next day, David made some preparations and invited Lu Zhi over, asking her to wear a formal outfit.
While they waited, Dawn and David took a selfie.
David and Lu greet one another with a kiss.
David then suggested that they get married right away.
David took Lu’s arm and led her to the wedding arch.
Lu: David, you did this?
David: Only the best for you, my love.
They took their places under the arch.
Lu: David, we may have just met, but I’ve known you all of my life in my dreams. This ring is a symbol of my love for you. Whenever you look at it, remember I will love you always.
David: Lu, my life was incomplete without you. Take this ring as a token of my love – never-ending and unbroken.
Mr. and Mrs. McKnight.
Sealed with a kiss.
Dawn was the only guest at the ceremony.
Dawn felt every emotion of her twin during the ceremony and it left her in tears.
David: I’m so glad you were here to share in our happiness.
Dawn: I wouldn’t have missed it. Congratulations!
Dawn: Welcome to the family, Lu. You make my brother very happy.
Lu: Thank you! He makes me very happy as well.
Dawn: Come here and give me a hug.
Lu: Aww, you’re so sweet.
NOTE: I had a lot of problems with getting Lu into the household after the wedding. I kept getting Nraas Mover script errors. I finally went back to a previous save and asked her to move in before the wedding. Then when they were married, the move in option popped up.
