Chapter 40 of the Nothing is Free Challenge
Erik McKnight-Petersen has a wish to kiss Tracy Friendly for the first time. He asked him to watch the stars with him.
They did quite a bit of flirting.
Eric: I think it’s great that you love the outdoors like I do.
Tracy: I enjoy being here with your in the park.
Eric: I admire the fact that you are conscientious about saving the planet.
Tracy: Thank you. I do my best. I think you are handsome.
Eric decided to just go for it. He took Tracy into an embrace and kissed him.
Tracy responded by pulling him in and kissing him back.
Eric: Wow, that was a great kiss!
Tracy: I enjoyed it too. But it’s past curfew and we’d better get home before we get caught by the police.
Eric: You’re right. I didn’t realize it was one in the morning!
Tracy made it home safely. He is thinking about that kiss, and what he will do about his relationship with Kristina Bohannon.
Eric also made it home without incident. Like Tracy, he is considering their relationship.
Eric: Should I pursue this? I really like him a lot.
Eric decided to talk to his mother about what happened at the park.
Eric: Mom, do you have a minute?
Sheri: For you? Anytime. What’s on your mind?
Eric: I think I might be falling in love.
Sheri: That’s wonderful. Who is she?
Eric: That’s the thing. It’s a he, Tracy Friendly.
Sheri: Oh. I didn’t know you were attracted to guys. If you’re worried about what I think, don’t be. I think it’s great that you are being true to yourself.
Eric: Thanks, Mom.
Eric was so happy that he hugged his Mom and headed for bed. His cousin Luke and Luke’s imaginary friend Carson Friendly were already in bed.
The next morning, Tracy talked to Kristina and asked her to just be friends. She agreed to break up. Tracy was extremely relieved.
NOTE: Only slightly better than a breakup text. He really should have done that in person though.

David had been trying for days to give the potion to his friend Rags. Finally, he was able to do so. Rags made short work of the liquid.
Meet Rayna Friendly. Her traits are Photographer’s Eye, Excitable, and Virtuoso. She likes Latin music, hot dogs, and the color spiceberry. She was given a guitar for her “birthday”.
Luke McKnight just got a part-time job at Alryne Cemetery.
Eric invited Tracy out on a date, but he had to leave for work soon, so Eric went to his house for a bit. They did a little flirting.
Eric: Tracy, would you like to go to prom with me?
Tracy: I hadn’t planned on going, but I would love to go with you.
Eric: Thank you. I’ll pick you up on Friday.
Eric gives Tracy a shy kiss.
While they were fawning over one another, the paparazzi was hard at work recording their encounter. The camera flashed.
Tracy: Those paparazzi won’t leave anyone alone. We’d better get inside and not give them anything else for their rags.
Eric: You’re right. I’ll see you at school tomorrow. Goodnight.
Tracy: Goodnight.
