Chapter 3 of the Nothing is Free Challenge

Brad and Trish became good friends and then romantic interests, but they didn’t find one another drop-dead gorgeous. However, Brad knew available females were limited, and they got along well enough together. He decided to pursue her by giving her flowers.

Brad and Trish spent a lot of time flirting and kissing one another. Eventually, Brad decided to ask Trish to move in. She left her maid job and moved in to live with Brad. Trish’s traits are Brave, Flirty, Neat, Charismatic, and Athletic.

Since Trish was no longer working as a maid, she started writing to earn a living. She spent many hours practicing her writing skills so that her first novel wasn’t a flop.

Brad had collected many gems and metals and sent them off to be cut and smelted. He received §1,620 from selling them all. Brad invested in a Gem-U-Cut Machine for §975 to save the cost of getting the gems cut through the mail. The Artisan’s Glassblowing and Jewelry Making Station would cost §1,350. That could wait for a while yet.

The first gem Brad cut on the machine was an oval-cut rainbow gem, which he sold for §870. The residual pile of rainbow gem dust sold for §125. The machine paid for itself with just one use! Trish marveled at his ability to think ahead when making money.

Trish reached level 4 in writing, and took a break to play in the sprinkler.

Brad had reached level 9 in gardening. When he reaches level 10, he will build a grocery store. They must save §27,000 to purchase the property and complete this goal. Brad sold his bumper crop for §2,049.

Brad found some palladium and had it smelted. He sold it and the other metals he had smelted and bought the smelting machine.

Trish convinced Brad to splurge on a hot tub. He was amused when she disappeared under the bubbles to pop up at his side.

Trish is working on her first horror novel, Rue the Day You Were Born.

Trish finished her first novel while Brad reached level 10 in gardening. They took some time to watch the stars together.
They had only saved §10,000 toward their goal of §27,000 to afford the grocery store. Trish had reached level 6 in writing. When she reached level 10, her goal was to buy the bookstore. They will need another §27,000 at that time.

Trish celebrated her birthday in the hot tub with Brad. She was four days older than him. What were these two were up to?
The game is at week 3 – day 6
